The Steezy Kiwi Hardshell rooftop tent has changed the game for camping in New Zealand. It is the most fuel efficient (14cm high without racks), easy to use and well build hard shell rooftop tent on the New Zealand market. At Steezy Kiwi, we pride ourselves in being one of the highest quality rooftop tent brands in the world, with our tents being built with high quality materials, to a very high standard, enabling it to withstand our hearty New Zealand climate. The hard shell rooftop tent can be set up within a minute, making camping trips stress free, giving you more time for hanging out, sports, exploring, cooking or the cheeky beer or wine.

The hardshell rooftop tent is built with a thick 350 g/sm canvas with a PU coating. This means they can withstand sea spray, hot sunny days and some savage winds without stretching or damaging the canvas (stretching is very common with cheaper canvas). All zips are made with Japanese YKK zippers (not cheaper SBS), for long lasting and smooth zipping. The base and roof is made from high quality Aluminium, including the corners (no plastic corners which are prone to leaking).

Note. Bedding can not be stored in the hardshell rooftop tent. These tents are designed for larger cars, and we recommend the roof racks to be a minimum of 1 metre apart. We recommend checking your vehicle’s maximum roof load rating and roof racks maximum dynamic load rating before installing this tent, and putting accessories onto the tents roof racks.

Strong Japanese YKK Zips

Created for smooth zipping, and built to last (not convinced, check the zip brand on your 30 year old Swanndri, grandads canvas tent or your quality tramping jacket, they are always YKK). We haven't cut costs, using un-reliable zipper brands.

Poles

Extra thick tent poles (25mm not 16mm) for added strength and reliability. Also have fabric on them which prevents condensation build up. Also curved poles to prevent rainwater pooling on the roof.

Seams

Double stitched and taped seams for extreme waterproofness and strength

Shoe Bags

Two large shoe bags with weather flap. Enables you to keep your shoes handy and dry when climbing in and out of the tent.

Travel cover straps

Unique straps for rolling up the travel cover, keeping it dry and out of the way when tent is open.

Two air vents

Hidden under the rainfly and fully waterproof, designed to let fresh air in and reduce condensation

Side flaps on rainfly

Enabling you to open the front window during poor weather, protecting you from rain/snow or wind. Has window that can be rolled down for added privacy.

It has then been vigorously tested throughout all drive-able climates within New Zealand, to create one of the best rooftop tents on the planet! From fuel efficiency to optimal storage, every inch of this tent has been designed for ultimate practicality.

The tent has a very unique design that includes features to  make the tent extremely easy and fast to set up, and take down, resulting in being able to spend more time fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, horse riding or whatever adventure drew you to camping and New Zealand's great outdoors.

The Vibes rooftop tent, is designed for those who seek adventure, at an affordable price. We have added a PVC sky window, so you can fall asleep enjoying the stars, and any mischief Elon Musk is getting up to. All clear PVC held together with thick taped seems to provide water proof during adverse weather. 

Although it lacks the extended canopy (that the Ultimate tent has), it still has a large rain fly, with walls to protect you from the weather while in the views from front and back of the tent. Large hinges, enable storage of sleeping gear (pillows, duvets, sheets ect) in the tent while traveling around.
